Egg McRickerts
Ingredients Equipment

1 egg per sandwich
1 slice of American cheese per sandwich
1 sausage patty per sandwich (I prefer pre-cooked)
1 hamburger bun per sandwich
1 tsp butter
 

 stove
pan or griddle to cook eggs
pan or griddle to cook sausage
 

Heat sausage patties and stack in a corner of the grill to keep warm.  The sausage on the bottom may get overcooked.  Consider this one the sacrificial sausage.

Cook egg in egg pan or on flat grill.  Use 1 tsp of butter to keep egg from sticking. Crack the yolk and turn egg over so it is not runny.

Place sausage on bottom half of bun.
Place cooked egg on sausage.
Place cheese on cooked egg.
Cover with top of bun and serve.

Some people like to add seasoned salt or a shot of Tabasco sauce to this
