 TROOP CAMPOUT

St. Sebastian River State Park

January 11 through 13
(Friday evening through Sunday morning)

WEBELOS ARE INVITED.

We would like the Webelos to attend the campout with us. You are welcome to come Friday evening with the troop if you wish to participate with setting up the camp in the dark, or come Saturday morning.

Webelos are expected to show up by 8:30 AM Saturday Morning (after breakfast) at the campsite.  Webelos may come with the troop Friday evening if they wish, but will be asked to assist with camp setup if they do.

CAMPING STYLE Warm Weather Car Camping
Use cars to drive to within 250 yards of campsite.
Personal Tents - share with a buddy to keep the tent count down.
Campfire ring with bench seating.
We will bring all our own water.
We will setup a private restroom facility for the mothers.
Cooking with the troop equipment.
Lighting with the troop lanterns.
Troop will  Supply Patrol boxes with cooking equipment.
Propane, Lanterns, Fire Wood, Charcoal (if needed for cooking), Axe Box, Ice, Water and Gator Aid, Canopy covering, Cleaning Supplies.

FOOD:

The patrols are strutting their stuff and will be using separate menus.  The Webelos will be guests of honor and shall be served by the patrols. The adults will enjoy a menu more suited to older people and will perform their own cooking.

Driving Instructions to Storytelling camp site

1 Begin at the old Albertsons parking lot Palm Bay Rd NE,CR-516 and go East to Babcock
2 Turn right onto Babcock and go South for 15 miles
3 Turn left at Buffer Preserve Drive and go East for 3 miles.
4 Just past the highway underpass turn left at the Storytelling sign and park at the horse paddock.
5 unpack and hike 250 yards north to the campsite.
